The OPDs are located in Block B of the main hospital building.

• OPD services remain closed on Sunday and Central Government Holidays.

• The Registration Fee for OPD Services is Rs 10/- per patient.
• Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. However, out-of-turn consultations may be provided in emergencies, depending on the clinical condition.
• During OPD consultation, the treating doctor advises various investigations & guides patients to the concerned laboratory/department.
• Billing for AIIMS Laboratory and Radiology tests is done at Counters 6 and 7 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on the 1st Floor of B Block, and for Hind Labs at Counters 10, 11, and 12 on the Ground Floor of B Block.
• Sample collection timings are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday–Friday) & 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Saturday).
• Reports of laboratory investigations are usually available the next working day at the Report Dispatch counter.
• Certain specialized investigations are performed on particular days only.
• Payment should be made only at designated hospital cash counters and proper receipts should be obtained.
• Due to high work load, there is a waiting period for certain investigations like MRI, CT, USG, echocardiography, PET scan etc. Patients are given appointments by the respective departments. However, urgent situations may warrant out-of-turn investigations on the treating doctor’s recommendation.
• The decision to admit a patient rests with the treating doctor and admission is subject to bed availability. In emergency situations, out-of-turn admission may be done.

Facilities :

• Wheel chairs, patient trolleys etc. are available free of charge at the OPD entrance.
• OPDs have waiting hall with chairs, TVs, lifts, public utilities like drinking water & toilets etc. at each floor.
• The hospital offers free parking for patients but vehicles must be parked in designated areas; otherwise, they may be towed and fine may be charged.
• AIIMS staff work diligently to provide smooth and efficient services. However, if you face any issues or wish to share suggestions, you may submit them in the Suggestion/Complaint Box or record in the Register maintained at the OPD entrance.
• Seating is available in the Central Vista area under tree shade in front of the hospital.
• Canteen services are available on the 1st Floor of B Block.
• An ATM is located in the Academic Block, Basement 3.
• Breastfeeding cabins are available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Floors of B Block for the comfort and privacy of nursing mothers.
