The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at AIIMS Bilaspur is dedicated to providing comprehensive women’s healthcare, encompassing preventive, promotive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services. With a focus on high-quality clinical care, academic excellence, and innovative research, the department continues to grow as a centre of excellence for maternal and reproductive health in the region.
Our vision is to advance women’s health through excellence in clinical care, education, and research, with a special emphasis on maternal and fetal well-being, gynecological oncology, and reproductive health.

Services
In-patients Department
The department provides comprehensive inpatient care for routine and high-risk pregnancies. Admissions include management of hypertensive disorders, diabetes in pregnancy, preterm labor, antepartum hemorrhage, severe anemia, and other obstetric complications. The labor room is equipped for continuous intrapartum monitoring, emergency cesarean delivery, instrumental delivery, and structured postpartum care.
The department has recently initiated fetal medicine services, beginning with amniocentesis for prenatal diagnosis.
The Department offers specialized inpatient management for a wide range of benign and complex gynecological conditions, including abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, fibroids, adnexal masses, infertility-related conditions, and postoperative care.
The department performs a full spectrum of gynecological surgeries, including diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, vaginal surgeries, abdominal hysterectomies, and management of pelvic floor disorders.
The department provides comprehensive gynecologic oncology care with expertise in advanced oncosurgical procedures. Services include staging surgeries, radical hysterectomies, cytoreductive surgeries for ovarian cancer, and complex pelvic procedures.
Inpatient care includes thorough preoperative assessment, postoperative monitoring, and coordinated multidisciplinary planning with medical oncology, pathology, radiology, and radiation oncology.
Outpatients Department
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AIIMS Bilaspur provides comprehensive outpatient care catering to women across all age groups.
Daily OPD services include routine antenatal checkups, high-risk pregnancy clinics, gynecology consultations, infertility evaluation, preconception counseling, menopausal health services, and follow-up care.
Dedicated clinics such as the high-risk pregnancy clinic, infertility clinic, family planning clinic, and gynecologic oncology clinic ensure focused, protocol-based management.
Ultrasound services and counseling support are integrated into OPD workflow to provide seamless, patient-centered care.
