College of Nursing
Introduction
The Department of College of Nursing at AIIMS Bilaspur was established in 2022 with the recruitment of a Principal and seven Tutors, laying the foundation for a new and dynamic academic institution.
A major milestone was achieved with the commencement of the inaugural B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Batch (2022–2026), comprising 26 students in October 2022.
The Department is committed to providing a comprehensive academic environment that fosters professional growth through research-based and evidence-based clinical practices.

Services
In-patients Department
Nursing faculty and students participate in inpatient care across medical, surgical, and critical care units. Activities include supervised clinical care, routine nursing procedures, bedside teaching, care planning, patient education, and support in daily clinical work.
Out-patients Department
Services include patient triage, basic assessment, and vital monitoring. Faculty and students conduct community awareness and health education programmes focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, and patient counseling.
Procedures (Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic) Offered by the Department
Training is provided in essential nursing procedures through clinical exposure and simulation-based learning, with emphasis on infection prevention, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing practices.
