Services

In-patients Department
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit provides comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care for patients with complex maxillofacial trauma, cleft lip and palate, infections, cysts, tumors, and corrective jaw surgeries through a multidisciplinary approach.

Outpatients Department
The Department offers comprehensive dental care services addressing preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of oral health. Specialized dental care is also provided in the fields of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Procedures (Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic) Offered by the Department

Diagnostic Procedures

  • Digital dental radiography (Intra-oral periapical X-ray)
  • Biopsy for screening of oral cancer

Therapeutic Procedures

  • Emergency care for dental and maxillofacial trauma patients
  • Diagnosis and management of oral mucosal lesions and TMD/MPDS patients
  • Preventive and therapeutic dental care for children and adolescents
  • General Dentistry Procedures: Oral prophylaxis, restorations, and root canal treatment
  • Surgical Procedures: Minor oral surgical procedures, pre-prosthetic surgeries, orthognathic surgeries, and management of facial trauma, cysts, and tumors
  • Prosthodontic Procedures: Fabrication of complete and partial dentures, crowns, dental bridges, maxillofacial prosthesis, occlusal splints, and aesthetic dentistry
  • Orthodontic Procedures: Diagnosis and correction of malocclusion using fixed and removable orthodontic appliances and naso-alveolar molding in cleft lip and palate patients
